We sell traditional and contemporary braided rugs which we make and ship to you from our studio in the North Carolina mountains. We are on the border of North Carolina and Tennessee in a small hamlet called Buladean at an altitude of 4,000 feet. Our closest Post Office is in Tennessee at a place called Unicoi, which is an Indian word meaning "Valley Beautiful". Our closest highway is the Appalachian Trail, which runs along the border of the two States elevating to its highest point of 6,285 feet on a mountain opposite us called the Roan. A truly High-way. Braided Area Rugs, An Old American Tradition Braided rugs have been made by American farmers and town folks for easily over 200 years. Can you imagine frontier town homes without at least one warm and friendly braided rug in the house?
